- You are filing Form 1040EZ; and
- You are claiming deductible student loan interest on Form 1098-E.
- Click the Prepare tab and then click the Forms button.
- Open the "Do You Need Form 1040? Worksheet."
- Under the heading "Choose one below," check Form 1040A.
- You are claiming the earned income credit (EIC).
- You have two or more qualifying children.
- The SECOND qualifying child about whom you are reporting information is either (i) over age 18 and under age 24, and a student, or (ii) over age 18, and permanently and totally disabled.
