2001 Windows Workarounds and Other Problems

Form 1065, Partnership Forms Not Updating
Users Affected: You are affected by this problem if you opened Form 1065, Partnership, before updating TaxCut for Business.

Problem: When you print Form 1065 after updating, the banner "Draft Mode - Not for filing" appears across the middle of the form.

Solution: To correct this problem, follow these steps:

Click here to download the 1065 file (_1065.szp) and save it to the directory C:\ProgramFiles\TaxCut2001\NewFiles (or the NewFiles directory if you did not install the program to the default directory).
When asked if you want to overwrite the existing file, click Yes.
Click here to download the FormUpdate.exe file. Save the file to the Desktop.
Once downloaded, run the FormUpdate.exe
Restart TaxCut for Business

Form 1120, Corporation Forms Not Updating
Users Affected: You are affected by this problem if you opened Form 1120, Corporation, before updating TaxCut for Business.

Problem: When you print Form 1120 after updating, the banner "Draft Mode - Not for filing" appears across the middle of the form.

Solution: To correct this problem, follow these steps:

Click here to download the 1120 file (_1120.szp) and save it to the directory C:\ProgramFiles\TaxCut2001\NewFiles (or the NewFiles directory if you did not install the program to the default directory

Users Affected: You are affected by this problem if you opened Form 1120S: S Corporation, before updating TaxCut for Business.

Problem: When you print Form 1120S after updating, the banner "Draft Mode - Not for filing" appears across the middle of the form.

Solution: To correct this problem, follow these steps:

Click here to download the 1120S file (_1120s.szp) and save it to the directory C:\ProgramFiles\TaxCut2001\NewFiles (or the NewFiles directory if you did not install the program to the default directory
When asked if you want to overwrite the existing file, click Yes.
Click here to download the FormUpdate.exe file. Save the file to the Desktop.
Once downloaded, run the FormUpdate.exe
Restart TaxCut for Business

Form 1041, Estates and Trusts: Draft Version of Form Prints After Updating
Users Affected: You are affected by this problem only if you completed Form 1041: Estates and Trusts, before updating the program.

Problem: When you print Form 1041, the banner "Draft Mode - Not for filing" appears across the middle of the form, even after updating the program.

Solution: To correct this problem, follow these steps:

Click here to download the update file (Atx2001.exe) and save it to the directory in which TaxCut for Business 2001 is installed. (The default directory is C:\program files\taxcut2001.).
When asked if you want to overwrite the existing file, click Yes.
Restart TaxCut.

Problems installing from the TaxCut for Business State CD.
Users Affected: You are affected by this problem if you used the TaxCut for Business State CD and you encountered any of the following conditions:

You installed Indiana forms, but received Idaho forms instead.
You installed your state program and the forms did not appear after installation.
You were unable to select the state of North Dakota.

Problem: TaxCut for Business State CD does not display all state forms after installation.
