How is Basic + E-file different than Premium + E-file?
Both Basic and Premium make filing your taxes easy by taking you through a simple, step-by-step tax interview. Basic is best for people with simple tax situations. But, if you're looking for extra tax help and guidance with a Schedule C, home mortgage, rental property, home office, business expenses or asset depreciation, Premium would be best for you. With Premium, you'll also receive one free tax consultation with an H&R Block tax professional at no additional cost.
Can I import from TaxCut online or software, H&R Block office or TurboTax^® software?
Yes! Importing your tax information from your previous year's return is easy, and it can save you time when completing your taxes. You can import your basic personal and tax information into TaxCut online from last year's return TaxCut online, TaxCut software, TurboTax software or company-owned H&R Block tax office return data. (H&R Block office import only available from participating offices.) Just choose which program you'd like to import from, and we'll guide you through the process. You'll also be able to decide what you do or don't want to import for this year. Then, we'll place the information in the appropriate forms throughout the entire program. All you have to do is add this year's values.
