Sharing documents in WILLPower or Home & Business Attorney

RESOLUTION:

Sharing a document allows other users to view your document without having to store a copy themselves. Examples of when you might want to share a document:

  • Giving your family physician access to your living will.
  • Giving your executor or beneficiaries access to your will.

Online document sharing is part of the online services provided by RocketLawyer.com (additional fees apply).

To share a document:

  1. Store the document in your online account. For information on storing documents, see Storing documents in WILLPower or Home & Business Attorney.
  2. On the menu bar, click My Account.
  3. Find the file that you want to share, and click Open in the Action column.
  4. Below the document, click Share, and select Share this Document from the drop-down list.
  5. Enter the name and e-mail address of each person that you want to share the document with, and then click Next. You can also add a message if you want.
  6. Verify the e-mail address, and click Continue. To make changes to the e-mail address or the message, click Edit.

The recipients will receive an e-mail containing their login information and a link to the document.
