ISSUE:
Sharing documents in WILLPower or Home & Business Attorney
RESOLUTION:
Sharing a document allows other users to view your document without having to store a copy themselves. Examples of when you might want to share a document:
- Giving your family physician access to your living will.
- Giving your executor or beneficiaries access to your will.
Online document sharing is part of the online services provided by RocketLawyer.com (additional fees apply).
To share a document:
- Store the document in your online account. For information on storing documents, see Storing documents in WILLPower or Home & Business Attorney.
- On the menu bar, click My Account.
- Find the file that you want to share, and click Open in the Action column.
- Below the document, click Share, and select Share this Document from the drop-down list.
- Enter the name and e-mail address of each person that you want to share the document with, and then click Next. You can also add a message if you want.
- Verify the e-mail address, and click Continue. To make changes to the e-mail address or the message, click Edit.
The recipients will receive an e-mail containing their login information and a link to the document.
